Recreational/Grassroots | U5-U8

Come enjoy our Spring 2026 Recreational/Grassroots program, specifically designed for children in the U5-U8 age groups.  Our in-house program focuses primary on individual development and fun, with home matches each Saturday providing a fun weekly finale.

Birth Years: 2021-2018

  • Age Groups: Players are divided into two different age groups based on birth year

  • U6 will contain players born in 2020 and 2021

  • U8 will contain players born in 2018 and 2019

Registration Cost/Dates:

  • $200.00 ($25 rebate available when 5 family volunteer hours are completed)

  • Late Registrations will have a charge of $15 applied when completed after March 1, 2026

  • Final Registration Date: March 11, 2026  (Please contact us after this date.  We will do our best to accommodate, subject to team roster sizes.)

Program Focus:

  • Teach the game fundamentals with the focus on individual development

  • Develop foundational skills to help them progress in the game

  • Foster a passion for the game

  • Coached by supportive and enthusiastic parent volunteers

  • Coached by supportive and enthusiastic parent volunteers, under the direct guidance of

    Natomas FA Grassroots Coordinator Armando Gutierrez.

Program Details:

  • 8 week program (March 9 - May 2)

  • Academy Style - no individual teams

  • Three trainings offered each week (Mon/Tues/Wed from 5:00p - 6:15p.)

  • Attending all three trainings is encouraged, but attend as often as your schedule allows.

  • Play Date each Sat from 9a-11a. Participants will be grouped into teams and play a 25

    minute 'match'. Players will then rotate to another field for a second match as desired.

  • 4v4 format

  • 25 minute matches (1-2 per Sat)

  • No referees, no goalkeepers, all focus on field play and development

  • All trainings and matches played at Foot Park, at the corner of Crest and Danbrook.

  • Uniform: Jerseys will be provided to new players.

  • Ball (Size 3) - all players will need a ball for practices, either purchased during registration or

    purchased from any store
