2024-2025 Competitive academy TRYOUTS

FREE registration is now open for the 2024-2025 Natomas FA Competitive Academy Tryouts. Tryouts are utilized every year by our Academy Program to evaluate youth players to help determine if they are ready for the Competitive Academy Program. Even if you are already registered for Grassroots (recreational) soccer, you can still tryout for the Academy. The fees paid for Grassroots will be refunded if you accept an academy offer.

New and returning players are REQUIRED to attend a minimum of 1-2 tryout dates, depending on their birth year, to be considered for a position on a Natomas FA Competitive Academy team. Players are encouraged to attend as many tryouts for their birth year as possible, giving coaches sufficient time to evaluate players at appropriate play level, as well as place the team in the appropriate competitive division.

All players should wear neutral athletic clothing (no club or team jerseys) and bring soccer cleats, shin guards, soccer ball and plenty of water.  Please arrive 30 minutes early to check-in and put your equipment on so we can start on time. Immediately after the tryout, players and families will meet with the coach evaluator and Director of Coaching regarding next steps.

2017-2015     7v7 format

2014-2013     9v9 format

2012-2006 11v11 format

*For purposes of tryouts, all players will tryout with their actual birth year time slots ONLY, unless invited otherwise by the Director of Coaching. There will be no trying out for a higher birth year team. This does not mean that players will not be playing up on higher birth year teams during League play.
